Vega y Vega Abogados, S.C. is a law firm based in Mexicali, Baja California, with more than 60 years of experience in domestic and cross-border matters. Founded by Sergio Vega Valenzuela, who currently serves as Partner Emeritus, the firm is led by Managing Partner Sergio Armando Vega Gómez, who continues its tradition of service, integrity, and professional excellence. Today, this family legal tradition is further strengthened by the addition of Ricardotadeo Díaz Vega, representing the family’s third generation at the firm.
SERGIO VEGA VALENZUELA
Founder and Partner Emeritus
Sergio Vega Valenzuela earned his law degree from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) in 1965. He founded Vega y Vega Abogados, S.C. and guided the firm’s development into an established legal practice serving domestic and cross-border clients.
Throughout more than six decades of professional practice, he has concentrated on civil, commercial, and criminal litigation. As Partner Emeritus, he continues to contribute his experience, institutional knowledge, and counsel to the firm and its clients.

OSCAR VEGA VALENZUELA
Partner
Oscar Vega Valenzuela earned his law degree from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) in 1967. His professional practice has focused on labor law and civil, commercial, and criminal litigation.
He has served as an employers’ representative before the local labor authorities in Mexicali and as a public defender assigned to both state and federal criminal courts. His extensive litigation and public-service experience provides the firm’s clients with seasoned and practical legal counsel.

SERGIO ARMANDO VEGA GÓMEZ
Managing Partner
Sergio Armando Vega Gómez earned his law degree from the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education (Tecnológico de Monterrey), Monterrey Campus, in 1994. He subsequently completed advanced studies in Corporate and International Law at CETYS Universidad in Mexicali.
His practice focuses on corporate law and civil, commercial, criminal, and constitutional litigation, including amparo proceedings. He has also taught Criminal Law at CETYS Universidad.
As Managing Partner of Vega y Vega Abogados, S.C., he leads the firm’s practice and coordinates its representation of clients in complex domestic and cross-border legal matters.
